Everyone is welcome

Everyone is
welcome.

Uservox is an inclusive company. That is true of the people we employ, the people who take part in our research, the people our clients need to reach, and anyone who visits this site. Whatever your age, disability, gender identity, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation or background, you are welcome here, and if something is in your way we want to know.

In the team

We value diversity and actively support LGBTQ+ and disability inclusion. We hold regular team discussions on inclusion so our practice stays current rather than filed away, and we aim for everyone in the team to be trained on it at all times. Work is organised flexibly around people's lives. Anyone can raise a concern, about anything, without fear of consequence; our whistleblowing procedure exists for exactly that.

In the research

The people we research are customers, patients, players, policyholders, passengers, staff: whoever a business needs to understand, in whichever sector we are working. Among them are always some of the least well served by the systems around them. We design research so they can take part on their own terms, in their own language and format, at a time that suits them, and fairly compensated for it. We represent what they tell us faithfully, and we protect their identities.

In the work

A journey that works only for the people a system already serves well is not finished. When we map how people think, say and do, we look deliberately for the people the process leaves behind, and the path of least resistance we recommend has to be one everyone can take. What we design is built to accessibility standards from the start, not retrofitted.

On this website

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA. The site uses plain language, readable contrast and text alternatives for images, works with a keyboard and a screen reader, and respects your system's reduced-motion setting: the animation on the home page stops when you ask it to. If something does not work for you, tell us and we will fix it.

Adjustments

If you need anything to take part in a meeting, an interview or a workshop with us, from an interpreter to a different format to a break in the schedule, say so and we will arrange it. You do not need to explain why.
